GIVVEN have tapped into the darkest and melancholic parts of their minds to unveil the poignant EP Losing Colours via Bias Beach Records. Packed with three rich tracks, each song is tinged with downtempo and alternative soundscapes all with their uniquely focused message. Along with the release, each track has been accompanied by a thought-provoking video storyline which were all directed by Rupert Höller.

Stream/ download: Losing Colours EP

‘Losing Colours’ visually and lyrically is packed with the weight and dread of losing a loved one because of your doubts or other external factors that one doesn’t have control over. From its dramatic downtempo reverb and compelling display of love lost in the video, one can expect to feel a wave of unexpected ache for the love that has been broken.

The ‘Doubts’ video and single both end this EP on an introspective note, as we see how mental health comes into play with the former dancer from the ‘Losing Colours’ video battling the demons in her mind and falling apart at the seams. As the lead actress further regresses, the musical tone also beautifully shifts with sporadic electronic embellishments. We also get a better insight into what caused her romance to fall apart.

GIVVEN have delighted us with this visually and lyrically involved story that has a lot of integrity and in turn a charming glow as a result.
