Chamber pop phenomenon Neacal shared his debut album Stanger from Long Ago on October 11th 2024 via Neacal Music. The album is a 9-track sonic voyage that mirrors the personal struggles Neacal experienced over the last three years, including themes surrounding mental health, loss and displacement.

Through the creation of this album, Neacal has become a powerful alchemist as he channeled his emotions, vulnerabilities and hopes into this project. It features poignant symphonies of strings, percussion and bass, enveloped in Neacal’s tender vocals and immersive storytelling ability.  

Neacal revealed: “These songs, while being unraveled over the course of the last 3 years, became a refuge in my darkest months. Loss of loved ones, loss of home, loss of the life as I knew it—all of this pain transformed into these lyrics and melodies. And now it’s time for them to live their own life in this world.”

Neacal has had quite an extensive career as a musician, and has been a composer for over 16 years. He learnt to play the violin as a child, and began dabbling in composition as a teenager. Over the course of his career he’s been involved in various music scenes including progressive rock and instrumental music, and as Neacal he’s swimming in the depths of orchestral pop music. He’s received support from esteemed international publications CLASH and NOTION for his previously released singles, as well as radio support from KEXP 90.3 FM.
