Sporting a leather jacket, self-taught rocker Jon Doe tells a tale of love in his new music video for ‘In My Dreams’, signed by Odd Grove Records. Continuing the saga he first introduced in his Summer Fling EP, he walks us through a mind made shy by love, questioning himself while chasing the object of his desire: her. The interplay between rhythm guitar and lead makes for a foot-tapping sensation, while a distinct pre-chorus to chorus lift reinforces his impassioned lyrics, emboldening his emotions.
Having taught himself to play the guitar and piano, this self-starter evokes a retro feel likened to that of Tame Impala and The Kooks. The aesthetic Jon Doe presents – leather jacket and a striped shirt- evokes images of the late Elvis Presley. ‘In My Dreams’ reminds us of a golden era in music, the sixties.
“This video was an absolute joy to make and it being my first music video it’ll always have a special place in my heart. This is just the beginning. A new era has begun!” – Jon Doe enthuses over ‘In My Dreams’ music video.
