Listen: SATRE – ‘Stay Away’
Influenced by the likes of Bon Iver and The Lumineers, his relatable Indie Folk-Pop music evokes comfort, melancholy and nostalgia. And his new track is just that. Written after arriving in busy London to pursue music, it’s a feel good track perfect for road trips and getaways. With SATRE’s trademark acoustic guitar prowess and up-beat rhythm, it’s a song about chasing your dreams, pushing the boundaries and running away to something better than what you know. Ignoring the status quo, the message is simple: pack your bags, get out there and prove everyone wrong.
SATRE had this to say: “I had just moved to London from Stockholm and was having a difficult time, contemplating moving back home to be with my family… My sibling told me that I better stay away! Whilst, the term is usually used in quite harsh contexts, in this case it was meant with love and compassion, as a reminder to keep chasing my dreams.”
