Olympic snowboarder and emerging indie folk sensation Pat Burgener has returned with a new collaborative single. Released on August 30th, Pat, alongside his brother Oddbox (Max Burgener), have dropped their moving single, ‘Free’ via Oversey Records.

The dynamic pair have crafted a track that’s a sonic journey about self-determination and liberation. Max, known for his impressive guitar chops and role as a full-time producer in London, brought his A-game to the track’s production. With monthly listeners on Spotify amounting to 81K and collaborations with the likes of Saint Raymond and Jamillah Barry, Max is a sought-after talent. Pat, whose music career has soared with four EPs and a debut album, adds his own flair with a staggering 18 million streams on YouTube and Spotify.
Pat’s journey from the snow-capped peaks to the music industry is nothing short of inspiring. After a life-altering snowboarding accident in 2014, he shifted to music, where he teamed up with Max. Over the past decade, Pat has graced stages across the UK and Europe, sharing the spotlight with acts like Matthew Mole and Sons of the East, and captivating audiences at festivals like Switzerland’s Paleo Festival.
‘Free’ serves as an anthem for liberation, wrapped in Pat’s tender vocals and heartfelt lyrics. It’s an uplifting blend of vibrant guitar riffs, a bright melody, and a captivating rhythm that will resonate with a vast audience. The single is accompanied by a stunning music video shot on the shores of California, and features Pat surfing, skating, playing guitar and ultimately just living in the moment and making the most of life.
