The Burma dive into the dynamic of emotions with the incredibly spirited LP Sucker For Stars. We are honoured with ferocious artistry and bared souls within every track. The song Mike and Simone laments about two acquaintances reveling in the mistaken beliefs that their connection was not platonic and this lyricism is accompanied by two sets of harmonisation that alternate, giving the impression of an ongoing conversation.

The track Sucker For Stars is catchy and abundant in pleasing words about the promises of giving love. Its beat gives the itch to join the dance floor as it pushes forward like the marching of an army going off to war,  it is the first thing that is heard in the song, which is later coupled with potent guitar strings and effervescent vocals that carry the melody.

Gentle electronic organ and guitar strings kick off the song Sleepers (read our previous feature on ‘Sleepers’ here),  creating an atmosphere of fantasy and beautifully introducing the listeners to edgy rock guitar strings that become present towards the end of the song.
