Earlier this year, Canadian synthwave music producer Cristobal Cortes aka Das Mörtal released his punchy single  ‘The Void’. In the past Cortes has seen support from a number of acclaimed publications including Metal Sucks, Heavy Blog Is Heavy, Pure Volume, and Exclaim. Wave Music talks about his previous  single, “‘The Void’ features Cristobal’s pulsating and malevolent soundscapes which leave chills down your spine, as well as you ending up on the dance floor spellbound.” Now, Das Mörtal has released his latest witchy obsession, dancefloor single called ‘Wicked Desires’ via Lisbon Records.

Ahead of the single premiere the synthwave artist was assisting with composition on the Street Of Rage 4 (SEGA) soundtrack. Das Mörtal’s claim to fame is his album Hotline Miami II, which saw his stream rate skyrocket to over 8 million plays across streaming platforms. He has also produced movie scores for films including Naissance d’un Zombie and feature film Deadcon. The producer talks about the single, “Wicked Desires is a cursed love song using the haunting sounds of old string machines. The more modern electro groove mixed with it’s 70’s synthesizer pads is the perfect backdrop for any young witch ritual.”

Das Mörtal is looking for a heart to connect to in his new pounding dancefloor single ‘Wicked Desires’.
