After a decade without a solo album, Bruno Mars is ready to deliver again. His fourth studio effort, The Romantic, lands February 27, with the still-untitled lead single premiering this Friday, January 9. The announcement ends a long stretch where his music stayed omnipresent despite no new full-length under his name alone.

Mars has stayed busy since 24K Magic took Album of the Year at the Grammys in 2016. A long-running Las Vegas residency kept him in front of live audiences, while 2024 brought two massive duets that ruled global charts: ‘Die With a Smile’ with Lady Gaga, hitting number one in more than 30 countries, and ‘APT’ with Blackpink’s Rosé, topping lists in over 50.

He also released the critically praised An Evening With Silk Sonic in 2021 alongside Anderson .Paak, a full-album dive into throwback R&B and soul. Coming off that project and the recent crossover smashes, Mars now shifts focus back to his own vision. The Romantic positions him to reclaim the solo spotlight, building on momentum that never really faded.
