Folk-pop sensation JOHNNYSWIM, shared their groundbreaking 5th album When The War Is Over on February 7th.

The enthralling duo are now gearing up for a US tour which kicks off in March, and will see them grace stages in Texas, Indianapolis, Georgia and Chicago to name just a few of their stops. They will also be performing at the prestigious London venue, Scala in May with Yasmin Hass, and in Amsterdam at Tolhuistuin. Their upcoming tour comes hot off the heels of their phenomenal performance on the hit US television talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on 10 February

The Los Angeles-based duo consists of partners and musicians Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano Ramirez (daughter of the late “Queen of Disco” Donna Summers). JOHNNYSWIM have amassed over 575 million streams across platforms in their two decade career. They’ve also performed on renowned TV shows like the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert as well as CBS Mornings.

Their vulnerable, honest and emotive approach to their craft is what sets this duo apart, and has created an unshakeable momentum for their career. Their 11 track album dives into themes of introspection, growth and letting go during some of life’s most trying times. The album was produced by Abner Ramirez, while Raul Lopez took on the mixing duties, and it was mastered by Jonathan Grant Berlin.

The lead single ‘Dopamine’, features American rapper, singer and actor Tobe Nwigwe who sets a suave and sentient foundation for the track. Amanda and Abner’s vocals follow gently, gliding with an air of pain, relief and bliss. The lyrics outline a story of remarkable transformation and the power of introspection, against the backdrop of shimmering guitar melodies, brawny drum work and the evocative pulsating rhythm.
