How has your musical background helped shape your sound?

My father was also a musician, when I was a child he was abroad a lot and he brought home music that was not available in our country at that time. I am sure that these songs had a great influence on me and inspire me to this day.

Congratulations on the release of ‘Turn Back’! What does this track mean to you?

I started writing this song during a very difficult time. I wanted to write a laid-back, cool, groovy song. I was looking for a mood that would help me get out of what I was in. And my co-author wrote a text for the song that fits perfectly with the music. So this will always be a particularly memorable song!

Studio work and music creation, or performing and interacting with a live audience, which do you prefer?

Both are very important to me, each is completely different and exciting for different reasons. The studio is exciting because every sound and idea expresses what you want to communicate, without any external influence. And on stage, the energy of the audience can lift you up. In both cases, of course, we are looking for special moments. It is best to have both because they complement each other.

If you could collaborate with, or perform alongside any artist, who would it be? And why?

Wow, how many names can I say? Working with John Mayer would be a big dream, I love his songs and what he stands for. I would love to do a songwriting session with him. Likewise with Jacob Collier. But, of course, there are still plenty of artists with whom I would play or write a song at any time if I had the opportunity.

Tell us about any upcoming shows or releases you have in the pipeline?

Now I’m mostly busy with the promotion of ‘Turn Back, and I’m working on new songs I want to release an EP soon.
