Flawless vocalisation has always characterised KARMACODA’s music and comes to the forefront once again in ‘Dare’ and listening to the new track is like listening to an all-encompassing anthemic ode to oneself. The sultry vibration of the vocalist is imposing, taking the hearts and ears along on its voluptuous and melodic journey through the track. For a second while listening to the song, I imagined myself in the welcoming arms of a lover that I had fantasised about for successive nights.

KARMACODA’s Brett Crockett alias B discusses the conceptual underpinning of the new LP: “Lessons in Time is about both looking forward to what the future will be and simultaneously looking back at what we once had, what we loved, and what we lost. Themes of time and flying and the need for emotional personal connections emerged, unconsciously, but they were obvious once the album was done”.
