Texas indie rockers Swimming With Bears dropped their moody new single, ‘Patient Disguise’, on March 29, 2024, via Swimming With Bears Music, accompanied by a striking music video. With over 5 million monthly streams, the band has earned support from Billboard and NPR Music, and shared stages with acts like Panic! At The Disco, Weezer, and Anthony Green. They’ve collaborated with top producers, including Gabe Simon (Dua Lipa) and Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers), and performed at major festivals like Bourbon and Beyond, alongside legends such as Lenny Kravitz and Sting. Drawing inspiration from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Amy Winehouse, and Gorillaz, their sound has been likened to Kings of Leon and Vampire Weekend, blending timeless rock influences with their own distinctive energy.

‘Patient Disguise’ is a haunting track crafted by the band and brought to life through Matt Noveskey’s production, weaving together a delicate balance of pain and euphoria. Joe Perry’s raw, emotive vocals cut through, backed by a pulsating bassline and electrifying guitar riffs that carry the song’s intense energy. In the visually arresting music video, directed by Kevin C. McDermo, eerie scenes unfold, with Joe trapped in the grasp of white-gloved hands, symbolizing isolation and the yearning for human connection.

The band shared: “Patient Disguise began as a demo track we recorded during the COVID lockdown on an old computer. After sitting on the shelf for a while, we pulled it up in the studio during a brainstorming session with our producer. The result is a fully mastered version that has become a standout song at live concerts. Its evolution reflects creativity and resilience, turning a moment of uncertainty into one of our most celebrated tracks.”
