Old Fashioned Lover Boy criticizes the effect technology has on relationships in latest single & video; ‘Modern Life’

As much as music trends and the industry has changed over the years, there’s always been a place for tender heartfelt voices to be heard. The same can’t always be said for relationships. That’s where Italian musician Old Fashioned Lover Boy comes in.

OFLB shared ‘Modern Life’ today along with a music video which is taken from his upcoming (yet unannounced) debut album. The second song to be lifted from this album (‘I Pray’ was the first), ‘Modern Life’ sees OFLB question the effect technology has on modern relationships. It doesn’t criticize technology, as much as asking not to be a part of it, seeing as he might be a bit more ‘Old Fashioned’. It’s a tender beautiful track that highlights Allessandro Panzeri’s songwriting and vocal chops.

About this track, OFLB comments, “It’s a song that makes me have fun; I always want to play it, it makes me want to move, to dance. Inside I put so many RNB influences and I mixed them with my infinite passion for the 60s, for The Beatles and for George Harrison. It’s the song that 2 years ago I never imagined to produce and that now makes me think that I could not produce music different from this.”

Catch OFLB performing this weekend on 7 March: Milan, Italy at Santeria Roscana 31  w/ Wild Nothing (event/ticket info)
