City By Night Record label owner Soular Order has just released his latest EP Beholder via his own imprint. The EP features four songs – ‘Redacted’, ‘Versus’, ‘Downfall’ as well as the title track.
In a feature on Chill Music, he revealed that the title track “is an ambient piece about self-reflection. It was written over the course of a few days, and was what actually started the whole EP process”. You can read the full piece here.
Our favourite track on the EP is the relatively underplayed, ‘Versus’ which carries a delicate balance of percussive builds and ambience. The textured soundscapes allow for a metaphorical pallet cleanser before leading into ‘Downfall’.
