Chantitown is a UK-based singer-songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who recently independently released her Cause and the Cure EP. Not only did she release a brand new EP recently, but she also shared a cinematic music video for her track ‘Mother of Sun’.

The single we’re focusing on today, is ‘Sinking Into Blue’ from Cause and the Cure. Opening with her siren-like voice only to crescendo to the crooning chorus, ‘Sinking Into Blue’ is a standout track from her debut. It is the perfect track to make you realise that you have to learn to let go of all the little details you can’t control in your life. Chantitown’s soulful voice compliments the full production work, making it clear that she has been refining her art since the age of 13, since she is in full control of this track.

On ‘Sinking Into Blue’, Chantitown said: ‘Sinking into Blue’ was the very first track I had written when I decided to release this body of work. It can mean different things to different people, for me, it was the freedom you feel in the realisation and acceptance you actually have no control. You certainly can’t control other human beings and there will never be a perfect answer for success or failure in any context of life. However from acceptance comes a strange sort of awakening and renewed hope. ‘Sinking into Blue’ represents a rebirth, a second chance for you to start again. I like the uplifting fusion of sounds in this track, the percussion, electro and guitar vibe gives its a positive twist.
