Under Stipp Manor Music, expressive pop twosome Hooked Like Helen released their latest song ‘Winter’ (Tori Amos cover) on the 6th of January.  Hooked Like Helen is comprised of husband and wife, Nikki and Jonathan Stipp. The couple cites the influences from the music of the likes of Nirvana, Michael Jackson and Twenty One Pilots, just to name a few.

There is no necessity to mention the subject matter of ‘Winter’ (Tori Amos cover) because the vocalisation in the song speaks of great consolation and compassion for someone or some people. The fervent voice of the singer together with the rising and falling of each note have the ability to control anxiety-prone thoughts and a weary heart. Consequently, ‘Winter’ (Tori Amos cover) will take its rightful place in the hallways of great ballads that will be a staple for worrisome homes for many generations.

Nikki elaborates on the significance of the song in her personal life: “Winter is about a girl’s relationship with a father figure who believes in her and sees greatness in her that she might not see in herself… When I sing and play “Winter”, I am (for 4 minutes and 30 seconds) one of those girls with a dad who loves her”.
