The Ljungqvist brothers, better known as JUNG, have released their impassioned new EP She. The record dropped in late October via Universal Music Sweden

She is our second EP this year. It’s a very personal EP grounded in our deepest emotions – love definitely plays a big role,” JUNG explains.  “Part I, Jungle EP, was a bit more energetic and a playful side of us, whereas Part II, She EP, is a little softer and emotional.”

The five-track EP opens with ‘Sweet October.’ Tempering foreboding lyrics with a folk-rock feel, the track makes an unmistakable mark before moving on to the upbeat indie banger ‘Somebody Like You.

“‘Somebody Like You’ is about trying to find the spark again. We humans tend to start taking things for granted as soon as we get used to a situation. It’s a dangerous thing, getting too comfortable. Whether you are in a long term relationship, just got your first child or in a long-distance relationship, it’s easy to slip away from each other and start losing the grip” the duo says of the track.

JUNG takes it down a few notches on ‘Irreplaceable,’ with a captivating harmony and light instrumentals. Title track ‘She’ is an uncluttered arrangement – minimal yet quietly compelling. Closing with catchy glistening synths on ‘Waste My Heart’ the album is an offering of brooding tracks that merge beautifully into a charismatic whole.

“We are extremely excited about finally getting to release new music and come out and play what we have been cooking the last two years,” say the duo
